What's Changing?

IRCTC is updating Tatkal to prevent misuse. Now: stricter ID verification and restricted agent access.

Aadhaar = Key to Booking

Starting July 1, you'll need to link your Aadhaar to your IRCTC account to book Tatkal tickets.

OTP Required at Checkout

From July 15, you'll need an OTP sent to your Aadhaar-linked mobile for every Tatkal booking. No OTP, no ticket!

For the first 30 minutes of Tatkal opening: 1. Only individual bookings permitted 2. Agents and bulk users blocked

AC Tatkal: Opens at 10 AM Non-AC Tatkal: Opens at 11 AM Agents can only book after 10:30/11:30 AM.
